LEAD. MENTOR. TRANSFORM LIVES.

Anglicare (NSW South, NSW West & ACT) is seeking a passionate and experienced Senior Carer Coordinator to lead a high-impact program supporting foster and kinship carers across our Permanency Support Program (PSP). This is your opportunity to step into a meaningful leadership role where your work will have a direct impact on the lives of children and young people in out-of-home care.
As the Senior Carer Coordinator, you’ll play a pivotal role in driving carer recruitment and development strategies, overseeing the assessment and authorisation of new carers, and ensuring all services are trauma-informed, culturally safe, and compliant with NSW Child Safe Standards and legislative requirements.
You’ll lead a team of carer support practitioners, provide supervision and training, and collaborate closely with senior management to deliver integrated, quality services across multiple sites. With a strong focus on therapeutic practice and Aboriginal cultural safety, you’ll help shape a more inclusive and nurturing care environment for children, carers, and families.

Responsibilities
  • Lead the recruitment, assessment, and training of foster and kinship carers in line with Step-by-Step and NSW Child Safe Standards.
  • Supervise, support and develop a team of Carer Support Case Managers and Assessment Practitioners.
  • Coordinate and facilitate Anglicare’s Carer Authorisation Panel, ensuring assessments are timely, comprehensive, and of high quality.
  • Develop and implement training and development frameworks for carers, with a strong focus on trauma-informed and culturally safe practices.
  • Collaborate with Aboriginal communities to enhance carer support and build culturally inclusive practice across the program.
  • Maintain up-to-date records and ensure compliance with internal systems and external regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to service planning and quality improvement initiatives to enhance outcomes for carers, children and young people.
  • Participate in on-call rosters and work flexibly across PSP sites as required.
