WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

The ideal candidate is a skilled carpenter or cabinet maker with experience supervising small trade teams. You’re organised, hands-on, and confident in planning and overseeing daily maintenance work. You take pride in craftsmanship, communicate clearly, and can identify and report complex issues as they arise.
Job Specific Requirements:

Eligibility - Mandatory

  • Trade Certificate in Carpentry and Joinery or Cabinet Maker.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Work flexible working arrangements (up to 30% including 9 weekend days) to meet operational requirements including Parliamentary sitting, shifts, on-call rosters, out of hours works, weekends and duties as required, in the current Departmental Enterprise Agreement 2024 and any future agreements.
  • The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a Baseline Vetting (Protected/Restricted) security clearance.

Desirable

  • Post Trade qualifications are desirable.
  • Safety related qualifications such as manual handling training, working at heights, confined spaces entry, or elevated work platform.
