  • At least 4 years experience in delivering Child Protection services to vulnerable families.
  • Excellent IT skills and ability to use technology in service delivery.
  • Ability to work unsupervised.
  • Ability to work remotely.
  • High level of professional accountability and integrity and a belief that every parent has potential.
  • A relevant degree qualification and current driver’s license (essential).

Responsibilities

ABOUT THE ROLE

Our Resilient Families program delivers targeted, voluntary child protection services to families with children who are at high risk of entering or escalating within the statutory child protection system. The program aims to reduce risks and strengthen families to reduce the number of children entering Out of Home Care.
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Social Worker, Psychologist, Case Worker or Case Manager to become a Senior Child and Family Practitioner within our Resilient Families Program. You will be a part of a multi-disciplinary team of Social Workers, Case Managers with a supportive Management and Practice Leadership Unit to support you.

DUTIES

  • Undertake an initial assessment of family strengths and needs.
  • Develop case plans that build on the family’s resilience.
  • Undertake home visits with families twice per week to reduce risk and increase safety
  • Work effectively with other stakeholders including DCJ ,Education and Health to ensure a holistic approach to case work
