STEP INTO A STRATEGIC ROLE AT DANONE (NUTRICIA)!

We’re on the lookout for a driven and forward-thinking Senior Category & Channel Development Manager to join our high-performing Category team within the Danone-Saputo joint venture.
In this permanent role, you’ll report to the Head of Category & Channel Development and work closely with the Sales and Marketing leadership team for Danone-Saputo dairy JV in the Australian market. You’ll define and lead the yogurt category strategy—driving innovation, uncovering insights, and shaping effective channel plans. A key part of your role will be executing these strategies with major retail partners including Woolworths, Coles, Aldi, Metcash, and Costco.

YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Category & Channel Development: Own the yogurt category strategy across all channels, from driving portfolio innovation to delivering best-in-class range reviews. Regularly generate and synthesize market insights across Danone, the broader category, customers, and competitors—leveraging all available data sources—to identify and validate growth opportunities. Partner with sales leadership to shape a robust and insight-led channel strategy.
  • Profitable Revenue Growth & 4P Strategy: Develop comprehensive portfolio plans by recommending optimal product ranging and placement strategies tailored to each channel, aligned with our commercial objectives and growth opportunities. Support key commercial pillars, including CPI planning, promotional review and strategy.
  • Customer Engagement: Build strong partnerships with priority retailers, lead impactful range reviews, and equip our sales team with go-to-market strategies to drive growth across all customer tiers.
  • Business Planning & Monitoring: Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and R&I to shape annual strategic plans and build strong commercial assumptions for innovation and renovation, grounded in customer and channel insights.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build and maintain strong relationships with senior internal stakeholders, including ANZ Directors, global category teams, and the Zone President. Act as a key liaison to ensure alignment on strategic priorities, share market insights, and influence decision-making across local and global functions.
