We are looking for an experienced chef to join our growing team at Alfi, a new bar and restaurant for people who are passionate about food and drink.
We are building a team to get the restaurant into the Michelin guide, coveting bib gourmand status.

REQUIREMENTS:

To succeed as a Junior Sous Chef at Alfi, you should meet the following:

  • Proven experience as a CDP or a similar role in a high-volume kitchen, ideally with at least 2 years experience as Grill Chef and 2 years as pizza chef.
  • A positive and inclusive leadership style, able to manage the pass bringing the whole team together
  • Willingness to follow specific cooking and preparation techniques as instructed by our Head Chef
  • A passion for food and creativity, a keen eye for presentation.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques, ingredients, and food safety practices.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-energy environment.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Drive and determination to join our mission to achieve a Bib Gourmand recognition

Responsibilities

As a CDP or Sous Chef at Alfi, you’ll play a key role in delivering excellent standards, displaying fun and supportive leadership role during busy service . You’ll work alongside a talented team of chefs who are passionate about food. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to the highest standards of taste and quality.
  • Collaborating with the Head Chef in delivering innovative and extraordinary menu items that surprise and delight our guests.
  • Ensuring all food production adheres to food safety and sanitation standards.
  • Maintaining a clean, organised and positive kitchen workspace.
  • Assisting in training and mentoring junior kitchen staff.
  • Keeping a positive attitude and embracing our venue’s culture or authenticy and quality.
