Support district(s) with Insertable cardiac monitor (ICM) technical, operational, educational and sales needs to achieve the district (s) CDS goals. Primary responsibility is to provide daily case coverage for all CDS implants and ensure the availability and readiness of all necessary equipment and devices to support implants.
Responsibilities:
Medtronic CRM seeks team-oriented employees committed to reliability, quality, accountability, and proactive engagement.

Technical Support

  • Supports implants of all CDS products post sign-off by providing all necessary equipment and products required for the implant, demonstrates expertise in all aspects of implant (such as proper device selection, appropriate programming, correct implantation and testing of all device systems).
  • Performs checks and interrogations of all CDS products post sign-off, while working on driving account independence
  • Provide troubleshooting support as requested
  • Successfully completes CDS Field Technical and Carelink Training – including online and field-based training

Operational Support

  • At ICM Implants, ensures patient registration and required hospital documentation are completed.
  • Helps manage Insertable cardiac monitor (ICM) consignment inventory and trunk inventory once obtained
  • Provides additional inventory support to meet customer needs
  • Maintains software on programmers/device managers throughout the district as directed
  • Assist with any CDS FCA as requested by leadership
  • Assists with obtaining customer POs throughout the quarter

Educational Support

  • Educates and trains physicians, hospital personnel, office staff and patients on products or solutions for which training has been completed
  • Provide implant and Carelink training to accounts to drive account independence
  • Assists with educating and training new CDS Therapy Support Specialists, CRM CSs and FIAs post sign-off

Sales & Service Support

  • Partners with DSM, Sales Reps and DM to learn market dynamics and local customer motivations and needs; has a basic understanding of how Medtronic CRM products and solutions offer value to the customer
  • Has a basic understanding of the competitive landscape
  • Independently identifies customer needs and opportunities and provides feedback to Sales Rep(s) to support sales objectives
  • Stays up to date on new Insertable cardiac monitor (ICM) products, solutions and patient management offerings
  • Maintains open and effective communication with all district personnel, customers and other Medtronic employees.
  • Follows all work/quality procedures to ensure quality system compliance and high-quality work.

Administrative Responsibilities:

  • Maintain compliance, administrative, training and expense requirements within the Medtronic guidelines
  • Maintain hospital eligibility/access with various vendor credentialing services.

Performs other related duties as assigned
Must Have – Basic Qualifications:

IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, THE FOLLOWING BASIC QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE EVIDENT ON YOUR RESUME

4+ years of experience including medical sales and/or cardiac device technical experience in a healthcare environment selling or supporting implantable products

Nice to Have – Desired/Preferred Qualifications:

  • B.A./B.S. Degree in nursing, life sciences, biomedical engineering
  • Cath Lab, EP Lab, hospital/clinic or cardiology experience
  • Experience teaching and educating medical personnel, peers and technical support personnel
  • Thorough working knowledge of medical terminology and the medical device industry
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Proven ability to build/maintain positive relationships with peers and colleagues across organization levels
  • Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication skills
  • Ability to coordinate/participate in numerous tasks/projects in a fast-paced environment in an organized manner while meeting deadlines
  • Strong work ethic in accomplishing objectives of the position
  • Expertise with Microsoft tools and other business applications (i.e., SalesForce.com)
  • Ability to meet vendor credentialing requirements

Travel Requirements:

  • Minimum travel of 20%
  • Must be able to drive approximately 80% of the time within assigned territory.
  • CDS TSS are required to be within their assigned territory each day to be available as unscheduled needs arise
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and active vehicle insurance policy. In addition, your driving record will be reviewed and will be considered as part of your application.
