As a Senior Characterization & Verification Engineer (m/f/d), you will become part of our Power Semiconductor R&D team and play a key role in the characterization and verification of modern power semiconductor devices, including SiC Schottky diodes, SiC MOSFETs, Si MOSFETs, and IGBTs. In this position, you will drive the automation and standardization of measurement systems at global locations, while making a significant contribution to innovation and technical excellence.
About the position
- Management and execution of the characterization and verification of power semiconductor devices to ensure comprehensive functional coverage.
- Close collaboration with design managers and product managers to develop test specifications and verification plans.
- Development, maintenance and optimization of automated test setups and measurement systems to increase efficiency and reproducibility.
- Analysis of measurement results and creation of technical reports for datasheets and internal design documentation.
- Conducting design verification reviews in accordance with international standards.
- Promoting the global harmonization of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in characterization laboratories.
- Identification and implementation of best practices in the areas of measurement technology, automation and data analysis.
- Analysis and correction of test errors, definition of corrective actions and support in their implementation.
About you
- Completed Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, Semiconductor Technology or a comparable field of study.
- At least 5 years of professional experience in the characterization of semiconductor devices or a related field.
- Proven expertise in the electrical characterization of power semiconductors, including Si, SiC and GaN technologies.
- Solid experience in handling electrical measuring instruments such as oscilloscopes, parameter analyzers and PXI systems.
- Experience with statistical data analysis and the evaluation of measurement systems.
- In-depth understanding of measurement circuit design, high-speed switching behavior , and thermal characterization methods.
- Knowledge of the IEC 60747 and JEDEC standards, including thermal measurement methods such as Rth/Zth analysis.
- Experience in developing automated tests using Python, MATLAB, LabVIEW, C, C++ or C#.
- Experience in PCB design and in the development of test equipment.
- In-depth understanding of high di/dt and dv/dt transients and their impact on test environments.
- Experience in a global laboratory environment with cross-site collaboration.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills , as well as the ability to explain technical results in an understandable way.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives and drive process improvements .
- Passion for fostering and developing talent in a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
- Strong analytical skills, a high level of attention to detail, and a practical approach to problem-solving.
For this position, we offer an annual gross salary of approximately €80,000 to €100,000 . The final salary will be determined based on your experience, qualifications, and technical expertise.
