JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to manage and oversee general accounting operations by controlling and verifying our financial transactions. This role will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, compliance with relevant regulations, and providing guidance to junior accounting staff.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (Master’s or CPA preferred).
• 4+ years of progressive accounting experience, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and internal controls.
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite).
• Advanced MS Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

PREFERRED SKILLS:

• CPA designation or progress toward CPA.
• Experience in [industry-specific] accounting (e.g., manufacturing, SaaS, nonprofit).
• Familiarity with ERP systems and financial automation tools.

• Prepare and review journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end close activities.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and bank reconciliations.
• Oversee fixed asset accounting, depreciation, and amortization schedules.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
• Coordinate internal and external audits; provide necessary documentation and explanations.
• Support tax filings, including sales tax, VAT, and corporate income tax.
• Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting procedures.
• Mentor and support junior accountants and finance staff.
• Participate in system upgrades and implementation of new financial tools.
