Applicants must have eligibility to work in the Republic of Ireland OR possess a valid work permit that will allow you to take up full time, permanent employment in ROI
To be successful in this position you will need Degree Level Qualification (or equivalent) in Chemical Engineering OR significant experience in a chemical engineering role may be considered in lieu of specific degree qualification. You will also need experience working with health and safety systems, process engineering design and experience of SCADA systems
Whilst not essential, it would be desirable if candidates were a Chartered chemical engineer with previous experience within pharmaceuticals in an engineering function, experience drawing P&IDs using CAD and knowledge/ experience of Quality Systems.

THE ROLE
As a Senior Chemical Engineer you will play an important role in the delivery of Arran Engineering projects, including process design, validation completion and documentation, commissioning and operation of plant and associated systems to the highest industrial standards. You will be responsible for managing and overseeing a variety of projects as well as becoming a technical point of contact both internally and externally. Your knowledge will contribute to the successful execution of projects within our organisation.
The role will contribute to the on-going development of site Process Safety, process and product development, project management, continuous improvement as well as to the development and execution of maintenance plans. This role will include organisation, and involvement is appropriate process risk assessments e.g. HAZOP, HAZID, LOPA and SIL studies as well as a working knowledge of Occupation hazards. The role will additionally provide technical guidance to ensure that identification, design, sourcing, installation and qualification of new equipment conforms to all engineering best practice guidelines and meets all regulatory (cGMP, process safety and HSE) requirements.
