our mission

We are currently looking for a Senior (Chemical) Process Engineer to join our growing team in Hamburg. The role will ideally be performed full-time, but part-time models can be discussed.

As a Planeteers Senior (Chemical) Process Engineer you will be responsible for the following tasks: 

  • Engineering, constructing, installing, operating, & upgrading our carbon capture reactors at scale
  • Building, operating & improving the reactor system including filtration, settling, clarification, pumping, & flow regime design
  • Ensuring continuous technological improvement & process optimization
  • Cooperating closely with our Technology Lead regarding the development and implementation of a comprehensive technology roadmap which includes research on cutting-edge technologies & is targeted at driving our technological innovation forward
  • Evaluating investments innew technologies, systems & tools as well as preparing & monitoring of budget for technology investments
  • Building & maintaining relationships with our R&D team, strategic partners, suppliers & service providers

Your profile

What do you bring to the Planeteers team? 

  • You hold a Bachelor or Master degree in Chemical/Process/Environmental Engineering or similar field
  • You have minimum 8 years of professional experience in the chemicals, pharmaceutical, water treatment, energy or similar field 
  • You are experienced in plant engineering & operation in an industrial environment
  • Ideally, you have experience in implementing new technologies & technical systems
  • You show a strong hands-on mentality with self-organized & autonomous working style
  • You can navigate uncertainty without losing momentum and you stay resilient even when things don’t work on the first try
  • You are curious, creative, and solution-driven, and you don’t shy away from ambiguity
