Group Risk Management (GRM) is a vital part of Danske Bank’s commitment to transforming banking to meet regulatory and compliance standards, while creating meaningful impact for our customers and stakeholders. We are seeking a dedicated Senior Project Manager to join our team and support strategic initiatives of the Group Risk Strategy. Internal Strategy, Execution & Performance Management is a newly established team. You can help us define our current and future role as well as ensuring a safe and trusted working environment whilst supporting a strong risk culture in Danske Bank.

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR?

We see you as someone with interest in development and experience navigating risk management, business, and development to handle stakeholders and expectations effectively. You are committed and initiative-driven, comfortable partnering with various stakeholders to reach shared goals and aligning multiple teams.

• Minimum of 3 years in project management, strategic implementation, consultancy, flexible development, or risk functions, beneficial within banking or financial services.
• Master’s degree in business, finance, technology, or a related field.
• Solid business understanding, strong project management skills, and a proven history of enabling strategic initiatives.
• Advanced communication, leadership, and stakeholder management abilities. Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
• Familiarity with flexible development methodology, digital transformation and industry trends. Experienced user of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.

As a Senior Project Manager, you will undertake the task of supporting complex initiatives within the Group Risk Management Strategy. This involves collaborating with stakeholders in the Risk & Compliance Tribe and Group Risk Management, contributing to flexible development of solutions. Your primary responsibility will be supporting various strategic initiatives, ensuring alignment and delivery of anticipated outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Facilitate the development and refinement of Group Risk Management strategic initiatives Project portfolio management.
• Collaborate with stakeholders in the Risk & Compliance Tribe to support the progress of complex strategic initiatives within Group Risk Management.
• Work closely with executive sponsors, the Risk & Compliance Tribe, the strategy functions, and various stakeholders across Group Risk Management to ensure seamless operation and alignment.
• Develop and refine strategic roadmaps, set clear targets, milestones, and OKRs to track progress and measure outcomes.
• Identify, analyse, and address potential risks, ensuring proactive strategies for issues and roadblocks.
• Encourage creativity and quality, supporting new solutions and continuous improvement to enable the success of strategic initiatives.
• Establish effective communication channels to provide regular updates on progress, address concerns, and gather feedback.
• Empower strategic initiative owners by offering training in project management concepts, tools, and frameworks, contributing to the wider knowledge base and capability of the organisation.
