Are you resilient and have a positive approach to change and challenge? We are looking for someone with a ‘can do’ attitude to join our team. As a Senior Child and Family Practitioner ideally you will have:

  • Experience of working with children and young people with disabilities (essential)
  • Diploma Level 4 in Social Care or equivalent (desirable)
  • Supervisory experience (essential)
  • Management experience (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and liaison skills
  • Strong planning and organisation
  • The ability to drive. The job requires the ability to travel according to the needs of the job, with reasonable adjustments, if required, according to the Equality Act.

As a Senior Child and Family Practitioner you’ll be responsible for planning and organising the sessions we run and deputising for the Service Coordinator in their absence. You’ll do this by:

  • Having Group Leader responsibilities at sessions
  • Updating Risk Assessments and dealing with new referrals
  • Supervising staff
  • Being point of contact, attending meetings and making decisions in the Service Coordinator’s absence
  • Being on the On-Call rota
