New Start Living Residential Ltd is a children’s residential service for children aged 08-18. We have an open vacancy for a Senior Support Worker to join our team in a new residential home. We are seeking an individual who can be a positive role model and is passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children and young people.
We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated individual with experience in a senior role, or a Residential Support Worker looking to progress in their career. The ideal candidate will be able tolead, support, and inspire a team to provide high-quality careand support, fostering positive outcomes for our children and young people. KNOWLEDGE:

Knowledge of the Children’s Home Regulations 2015
Understanding of Health and Safety issues
Understanding of Care / Support Principles

SKILLS:

Ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
Able to communicate in an effective and both written and verbal manner

Ability to maintain confidentiality
Able to handle difficult situations with minimum supervision
Able to carry out household duties
Basic Administrative skills
Knowledge of the support Industry and surrounding regulations and legislation

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

New Start Living takes safeguarding matters seriously and this post is subject to an ISA check and Enhanced DBS Disclosure Check
2 Satisfactory employment/education references, 1 Satisfactory character reference (if previously worked in childcare we will obtain all references for the past 5 years)
Full UK Driving Licence

Shifts Required :

• 42 hours per week
• 1 - 2 sleep in shifts per week
• On call rota
