Key Responsibilities Perform advanced troubleshooting and diagnostics on large-tonnage liquid chillers Carry out major and minor services, inspections, and performance assessments Execute compressor teardown, inspection, repair, and reassembly (centrifugal, screw, and others) Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and control system faults Select, identify, and replace OEM and equivalent spare parts accurately Interpret wiring diagrams, P&IDs, control logic, and OEM technical documentation Support chiller overhauls, retrofits, and commissioning activities Conduct vibration checks, oil analysis, and performance testing where required Respond to breakdowns and emergency callouts professionally and efficiently Prepare clear service reports and recommendations for clients and management Maintain high standards of safety, quality, and workmanship at all times Mentor junior technicians where required Required Experience & Qualifications Minimum 7–10 years hands-on experience with large-tonnage chillers Strong experience across multiple OEMs (e.g. centrifugal and screw platforms) Proven ability to independently troubleshoot complex chiller faults Demonstrated experience with compressor teardown and rebuild Solid understanding of refrigeration cycles, controls, and electromechanical systems Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions on site Experience working in UAE or GCC preferred Valid UAE driving licence (or ability to obtain one) Technical diploma or equivalent qualification in HVAC/R or Mechanical Engineering Preferred Skills (Advantageous) District cooling plant experience Experience with VFDs, PLC-based controls, and BMS interfaces Exposure to energy optimisation and performance testing OEM factory training certificates Knowledge of NDT, oil analysis, or vibration monitoring Personal Attributes Strong problem-solving mindset Detail-oriented with high technical standards Professional, reliable, and safety-focused Comfortable working on high-value, mission-critical equipment Able to communicate clearly with clients and team members
