Description

Wireless Network Design & Optimization Develop and implement best-practice configurations for corporate wireless networks, including certificate management and desktop standards. Ensure seamless SSID broadcasting and connectivity for both corporate and guest networks. Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution Resolve AP discovery issues caused by DNS/DHCP misconfigurations and ensure proper controller association. Diagnose and fix connectivity issues, including incomplete guest network setups and AD authentication failures. Integration & Security Integrate wireless authentication with Active Directory and coordinate with internal teams for service setup. Implement secure guest network solutions with proper isolation and firewall configurations. Controller Management & High Availability Upgrade and configure Cisco 9800 controllers for HA, adapting to changes in newer revisions. Conduct failover testing and validate redundancy for Wireless LAN Controllers (WLCs). Infrastructure Assessment Evaluate existing cabling for guest network virtual router deployment; recommend upgrades if necessary. Documentation & Standards Review and update network documentation, including port descriptions and floor layouts. Maintain accurate records of configurations and cleanup inconsistencies. Technical Expertise: 7+ years of experience in enterprise wireless networking. 7+ years of strong hands-on experience with Cisco wireless solutions (WLCs, APs, 9800 series controllers). 7+ years of proficiency in DNS, DHCP, VLANs, and network isolation techniques. Security & Integration: 5+ Experience with Active Directory integration for wireless authentication. 5+ years of knowledge of certificate management and secure wireless standards. Problem-Solving: Ability to troubleshoot complex wireless issues and implement scalable solutions. Certifications (Preferred): Cisco CCNP Wireless or equivalent. CWNP certifications (CWNA, CWSP) are a plus.
