Job Description We are seeking a Senior Civil Designer to join our Queensland design team. In this role you will work on award winning land development projects, delivering technically excellent designs. We have offices in Brisbane and Sunshine Coast, we welcome applicants for both locations! You will be responsible for Design of multi-disciplinary complex land development projects, ensuring design drawings for engineering project work comply with statutory and regulatory requirements and company policies and practices Preparation of preliminary and detailed designs for engineering projects in line with parameters set out in project scope of works Preparation of construction documentation and specifications for design works Preparing schedules and allocating resources to enable design drawings for engineering projects to be completed on time and within budget Ensuring compliance with specifications, design standards and Australian Codes to enhance quality design Promoting a culture of technical excellence through mentoring and training less experienced designers Supporting and approving associated technical work directly related to the discipline Playing an active role in the business groups through regular meetings, workshops, training and business planning Qualifications Ideally, you will have 7+ years of experience in civil design within a professional services or consultancy environment with significant land development experience across Queensland. In addition, you will also have: Associate Degree or Advanced Diploma of Civil Engineering (or equivalent qualification) or significant experience as a senior civil designer Valid full drivers license A thorough understanding of civil design principles pertaining to land development, storm water, flood modelling, civil infrastructure, roads and/or mining/resources Design of multi-disciplinary projects using 12D and Autocad Experience supporting and approving associated technical work directly related to the discipline and in project management capacities Familiarity with local and national design and drawing standards Willingness to coach junior designers with advice on solutions and develop fit-for-purpose solutions to engineering problems Strong written and verbal communication skills to participate in business develop activities as needed Additional Information We are open to considering this role on a full-time, part-time or job-share basis.
