Job Description As our Canberra team continues to grow, we're looking for a Senior Civil Engineer with 5–10 years' experience to join our Roads & Highways team. This opportunity is ideal for a well-rounded civil engineer who enjoys working across a variety of civil infrastructure projects and is looking to build their career within a nationally recognised Roads & Highways team. Previous highways experience is welcomed but not essential. You'll become part of a collaborative team delivering a broad range of transport and civil infrastructure projects across the ACT and nationally. Working alongside experienced civil specialists, you'll contribute to projects from planning and concept design through to detailed design and construction support, while continuing to develop your technical and project delivery skills. This role offers the opportunity to work across multidisciplinary projects, broaden your experience and play an active role in shaping the future of infrastructure throughout the region. How you’ll make a difference Deliver civil engineering design across a range of transport and infrastructure projects. Prepare engineering designs, reports and technical documentation to a high standard. Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to deliver integrated project outcomes. Support the delivery of projects from concept design through to construction. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and project stakeholders. Mentor graduate and early career engineers, sharing your knowledge and experience. Contribute to proposals and business development activities as opportunities arise. Qualifications The qualities that help you thrive The following qualifications and experience are highly desired, but if you don’t tick all the boxes you could still be a perfect fit for this role. Please apply, all applications will be considered. Around 5–10 years' experience in civil engineering within a consulting environment. Experience delivering civil infrastructure projects across design and project delivery. A broad civil engineering background, with an interest in transport infrastructure and highways projects. Experience working within multidisciplinary project teams. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills. A Bachelor of Civil Engineering or equivalent. Chartered (CPEng) status or working towards Chartership is highly regarded. Australian Citizenship and the ability to obtain or hold a Government Security Clearance would be advantageous due to the nature of some Canberra-based projects.
