The Civil Group is a Hatch global practice providing civil engineering design expertise to Hatch’s commodity-based business units. Our capability spans through the whole project lifecycle, comprising scoping, conceptual design, pre-feasibility and feasibility studies, basic and detailed engineering, construction and project management.
The Hatch Brisbane office is currently seeking applications from Senior Civil Engineers to assist with an increasing workload that includes work on challenging and interesting Projects. The successful candidates will be required to support the Design Production team with engineering and technical activities that culminate in the delivery of track and civil packages.
Key responsibilities of this role include:
- Track and civil design activities leading to the delivery of IFC packages. Designs typically relate to track alignment, formation, earthworks, drainage, level and pedestrian crossings, combined services routes etc.
- Be actively involved in Safety in Design, risk assessments, and peer reviews
- Identify and assist the resolution of design standard or operational requirements non-conformances
- Provide technical advice on projects to other officers/divisions and external parties
- Report to the Track & Structures Design Production Manager
We are ideally looking for individuals who possess the following qualifications and skills:
- You will demonstrate previous experience and knowledge of track and civil design within a rail environment and experience across a wide range of track and civil rail infrastructure is preferred.
- You value the importance of teamwork and safety and are able to manage the requirements of different stakeholders.
- Tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering and solid industry experience.
- RPEQ registered will be favorable.
- Experience with design / management in a consultancy environment.
- Experience in project management and client Management.
