We’re currently seeking a Senior Civil Engineer/ Design Manager to join the Logan Water Partnership — one of the largest water infrastructure programs in Australia. This integrated, multi-disciplinary team delivers infrastructure services across planning, design, construction, and commissioning for Logan’s water, wastewater, and recycled water network and treatment assets.
This role will work across water and sewerage infrastructure, including trunk mains, pump stations, rising mains, reservoirs, and facility assets. It’s a key part of the Project Development, Feasibility and Design team, contributing to both concept and detailed design of projects within Logan’s capital works program.

Responsibilities

The Logan Water Partnership operates under an Alliance Contracting model, which fosters collaboration, transparency, and shared responsibility across all project participants. This approach aligns commercial interests with project outcomes, ensuring that success is measured not just by cost, but also by stakeholder satisfaction, environmental performance, safety, and quality.

The key responsibilities of the role include:

  • Manage and deliver feasibility and detailed design projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards
  • Lead and participate in POAR and Safety in Design processes
  • Undertake options analysis and develop recommended solutions
  • Coordinate and deliver all aspects of design including investigations, drawings, construction and commissioning support
  • Conduct technical and quality reviews of deliverables
  • Develop and manage project estimates, budgets, and resource forecasts
  • Report on project performance and proactively address risks and issues
  • Promote a collaborative, value-for-money, and safety-first culture
  • Mentor and coach team members to support capability development
  • Prepare calculations and modelling to support design development
  • Support site investigations, commissioning, and validation of as-constructed works
  • Participate in continuous improvement and innovation initiatives
