The Opportunity Downer Energy & Utilities is seeking an experienced Senior Civil Engineer to join our growing Power business. In this role, you will play a key part in delivering civil engineering solutions across major transmission and substation projects. Working within a collaborative engineering team, you will provide technical leadership throughout the design lifecycle, ensuring high quality, fit for purpose outcomes. As part of this role, you will: * Deliver civil designs for major transmission and substation projects * Provide technical leadership and mentoring across project teams * Prepare design documentation, scopes of work and tender packages * Support project delivery, stakeholder engagement and continuous improvement initiatives * Ensure all designs meet safety, quality and client requirements This is a full-time permanent role based in our office in Milton, QLD. What We Are Looking For We are looking for a collaborative and experienced engineering professional who thrives in a project environment and brings a strong understanding of civil design within the power and utilities sector. To be successful, you will have: * Qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline * Chartered Professional Engineer status, or the ability to obtain it * Experience delivering civil design for transmission and substation projects within the power industry * Strong experience across bulk earthworks, drainage, oil containment, access roads/tracks, and site civil infrastructure * Knowledge of utility and transmission network infrastructure * Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills * The ability to manage design deliverables, priorities and project deadlines * A flexible and team focused approach to problem solving About Energy & Utilities Downer's Energy & Utilities business unit is an integrated trans-Tasman team, providing services and solutions that connect communities to essential networks and infrastructure.
