Job Description
As a Senior Civil Engineer – Rail at AECOM, you will play a key role in shaping the future of Sydney’s transport infrastructure. You’ll contribute to the planning, design, engineering, and project management of major rail and transit projects, including Sydney Metro City & Southwest, Sydney Metro West, Parramatta Light Rail, and the Canberra Light Rail. From initial business case development and concept design through to delivery, your expertise will support the successful implementation of transformative transport solutions across the region.

• 5–8 years of civil engineering experience with a strong emphasis on rail design and project delivery
• Proven ability in design leadership, coordination, and integration across multiple rail disciplines
• Proficiency in digital engineering tools and workflows (e.g. BIM, CDE platforms)
• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field; CPEng or equivalent (e.g. MICE, IEng) preferred but not essentia
