Salary: Negotiable, depending on skill and experience (chartered project engineer with ideally 10+ years and LGA experience).

  • Engineering design experience of land development and municipal infrastructure;
  • Experience in contract administration and construction surveillance;

  • An appetite for leadership through outstanding interpersonal relations with staff and clients.

Responsibilities
  • Over time, grow to lead and coordinate a local team of civil engineers, designers, and drafters to support our ongoing presence in South East Queensland.
  • Produce and review high-quality technical documentation including models, calculations, drawings, and reports.
  • Prepare tender and contract documentation for review as required.
  • Apply sound project management principles and maintain project governance and commercial acumen in line with Westera Partners systems and procedures.
  • Support and mentor junior engineers, fostering a collaborative and learning-focused environment aligned with our high design standards and core values.
  • Lead coordination of all relevant stakeholders, including internal staff and external parties such as clients, councils, and service authorities for approvals.
  • Work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to effectively manage project delivery to agreed cost/quality/schedule.
  • Help develop local business opportunities and strengthen client relationships.
  • Embrace the opportunity to expand business and local client relationships to increase our service offerings within current and new markets.
  • Contribute to projects in other geographies to support the broader civil portfolio as required
  • Help instill a culture of technical excellence and contribute to the ongoing improvement of our ISO-accredited Quality, Safety, and Environmental Management Systems.
