We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Civil Engineering Design Software Specialist with advanced expertise in Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD. This role is ideal for a technical expert who thrives on applying and supporting advanced design tools in civil infrastructure projects. You’ll work directly with design teams to implement, configure, and support Autodesk-based solutions for roadway, site, and civil projects.

QUALIFICATIONS

• 5+ years of direct experience using Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD in civil engineering projects (e.g. transportation, land development, municipal infrastructure).
• Strong working knowledge of roadway design, grading, drainage, utility layout, etc.
• Proven ability to configure and maintain Civil 3D environments (styles, assemblies, subassemblies, and templates).
• Experience supporting production teams or providing internal CAD/BIM support in a consulting or engineering environment.
• Strong communication skills — able to explain technical solutions clearly to engineers and CAD users of all experience levels.
• Experience with Bentley software (e.g. OpenRoads) is a bonus, but not required.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

• SOFTWARE IMPLEMENTATION & CONFIGURATIONSet up, configure, and support Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD environments to align with civil engineering project needs.
• DESIGN WORKFLOW SUPPORTProvide expert guidance and technical support for workflows involving alignments, profiles, corridors, grading, pipe networks, and surfaces.
• USER ENABLEMENT & TRAININGDeliver targeted training, one-on-one support, and best practices documentation to help engineers and designers work more efficiently in Civil 3D.
• STANDARDS & TEMPLATESDevelop and maintain CAD standards, Civil 3D styles, and templates to ensure consistency across projects.
• TECHNICAL PROBLEM SOLVINGTroubleshoot and resolve software-related design challenges, file corruption issues, data shortcut problems, and performance concerns.
• COLLABORATIONWork closely with civil engineers, drafters, and technical teams to ensure effective use of Autodesk tools in active projects.
