Qualifications & Skills:

  • P.Eng, technical diploma or extensive industry experience is a requirement.
  • 8+ years’ minimum experience managing all aspects of heavy civil construction from project start to project closeout in the lower mainland.
  • Onsite project management experience on a variety of large scale heavy civil infrastructure and transportation projects which involved highways, underground utilities, earthworks, and structures.
  • Ability to effectively manage new client development, client issues, complaints and inquiries while providing excellent service to clients.
  • Strong Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and MS Projects skills, Hard Dollar experience is an asset.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, outstanding time management, prioritization, multitasking, and organizational skills
  • Strong work ethic - ability to work in a confidential, fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
  • Valid Driver’s License
Responsibilities
  • Review the contract, plans & specifications to determine scope of work and to define project requirements and milestones.
  • Lead the project team to safely meet project milestones, within budget and to specifications.
  • Manage all aspects of project performance: startup, safety, cost, schedule, quality, environmental, client interface, operations, scope changes, billing, and closeout.
  • Develop and maintain solid, long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders.
  • Work on project pursuits and lead proposal efforts.
  • Analyze the project and estimate requirements and develop the project execution plan with the other members of the project team.
  • Manage claims and change orders.
