How you will create an impact
Establishing and maintaining reserves for complex and large claims
Carrying out negotiations with brokers, face to face when required, on claims where Talbot is the leader or second lead
Representing the syndicate at market meetings, leading meetings where appropriate
Attending client meetings.
Leading the delivery of projects outside claims-related responsibilities in order to add value to the department and business.
Supporting senior leadership in the claims team to help the department achieve its broader objectives
What you’ll need to succeed
Experience in handling direct and facultative reinsurance claims in the Financial Lines class.
Handling complex claims through discovery process, dispute resolution, mediation, court, obtaining judgement
Delivering projects additional to core role such as those linked to delivering the business strategy or implementing function-wide change
Representing Talbot externally at a senior level
