Description

Clemenger BBDO is on the lookout for a Senior Client Accountant to join our Finance team in Melbourne/Sydney.
As the Senior Client Accountant, you will have exposure to various stakeholders across the agency. You will have a keen eye for detail and the ability to communicate effectively to both financial and operational stakeholders.

SKILLS REQUIRED

  • Accounting or Business degree qualification
  • Great communications skills both verbal and written required
  • Strong Excel skills
  • Experience with D365/Dynamics preferred
Responsibilities
  • Work closely with account management and relevant stakeholders to improve client profitability, accurate forecasting, analysing revenue data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Manage large volume of invoicing, ensuring all invoices are issued in line with client contracts and SBOX audit requirements.
  • WIP management: ensuring all jobs are reconciled and all costs incurred are invoiced to clients in a timely manner.
  • Revenue: ensuring revenue recognition is accurate & in line with client contracts and accounting policies.
  • Reporting: prepare monthly reports on financial performance by client (profitability, variance analysis, retainer reconciliations), identify key drivers that impact margin and providing actionable recommendations.
  • Prepare ad-hoc client or project health report and advise on where commercial levers can be pulled to improve margin.
  • Support account management team by providing reporting and data as requested.
  • Provide client financial analysis in the review of monthly results (actual vs forecast, variance analysis, client profitability)
  • Participate in financial audits and provide support as needed.
  • Maintain data integrity and ensure financial information used for decision-making is accurate and up to date.
  • Track and challenge write-offs and over-servicing, and work with AMs to minimize non-billable time.
  • Gain and maintain knowledge of each applicable client contract.
  • Identifying process improvements to your role and the greater finance team.
