JOB SUMMARY:

We are seeking a highly experienced and client-focused Senior Client Manager to join our Employee Benefits team. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for a portfolio of key clients, managing the delivery of employee benefits solutions and ensuring an exceptional client experience. The Senior Client Manager will collaborate with internal teams and external partners to design, implement, and manage benefit programs that meet our clients’ strategic goals.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Human Resources, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 7+ years of experience in employee benefits, with at least 3 years in a client-facing account management role
  • Deep knowledge of group health and welfare benefit plans, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, and voluntary products
  • Strong understanding of benefits regulations (ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, etc.)
  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex client relationships and projects simultaneously
  • Proficiency with benefits administration tools and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
  • Relevant insurance licenses (e.g., Life & Health) required or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe

Responsibilities
  • CLIENT RELATIONSHIP MANAGEMENT:Serve as the lead contact for a portfolio of high-value clients, developing trusted relationships and providing strategic guidance on employee benefits programs.
  • BENEFITS STRATEGY & CONSULTING:Partner with clients to assess benefits needs, recommend tailored solutions, and ensure alignment with organizational goals, compliance requirements, and industry trends.
  • RENEWAL & MARKETING OVERSIGHT:Manage annual plan renewals, including strategy development, carrier negotiations, plan design changes, and communication with stakeholders.
  • TEAM COLLABORATION & LEADERSHIP:Coordinate with account managers, analysts, and other internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery. Mentor junior team members and support professional development.
  • COMPLIANCE & RISK MANAGEMENT:Provide guidance on regulatory changes including ACA, ERISA, HIPAA, COBRA, and other federal/state requirements. Ensure clients remain in compliance with applicable laws.
  • REPORTING & ANALYSIS:Analyze utilization data, claims experience, and benchmarking to support client decision-making and benefit plan optimization.
  • CLIENT COMMUNICATIONS:Prepare and deliver client presentations, stewardship reports, and employee education materials. Represent the company in client meetings and at industry events.
