Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

The Coroners Court is responsible for managing all unexpected deaths, fires or explosions that are reported to a Coroner in New South Wales.
The Senior Client Service Officer is part of the Court registry team which provide administrative and court support to Coroners as well as giving guidance to bereaved families and other stakeholders.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

The role requires you to work in a challenging, high volume, fast paced, dynamic and sensitive operational environment. Empathy and high-quality engagement with all court clients is essential.
Persons seeking to work at the Coroners Court need to be compassionate and have a high level of personal resilience. as the role involves exposure to sensitive and graphic content, including images, photographs and discussions relating to violence, death and homicide matters.
The role is based at Lidcombe and attendance is required on-site each day.

In this role, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing complex and high-quality administrative services within a court location
  • Supervising, guiding, training and providing support to a small team
  • Liaising with a wide range of internal and external clients
  • Effectively allocating time, tasks and resources to achieve daily goals
  • Managing complex inquiries and provide procedural assistance to clients and staff including researching, interpreting legislation, policy and court procedures
