Description:
An opportunity now exists for 2 x experienced coders to join the Clinical Coding team at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. The coding teams across the trust work corporately in a rotation of five clinical PODS and are responsible for ensuring a responsive and accurate delivery of Trust activity to sustain trust financial flows and to support the operational and strategic management of the organization.
You will need to exhibit excellent analytical skills, logic, and a high level of interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written. Flexible in your approach, you must be able to work as a part of the team to tight deadlines. You must be a holder of the ACC qualification, ideally with broad experience throughout a variety of medical and surgical areas in an acute setting with at least 2 years’ experience post qualification.

Remote coding has long been introduced some time ago and currently the teams come in once a week to the offices on a Wednesday, working from home the remaining 4 days. Note; the recruitment and retention premium (RRP) is at 10% on this banding.
To participate with all team members in meeting strict local, and national and contractual deadlines for assignment of clinical codes using classifications ICD-10 and OPCS4, to ensure accurate and timely reimbursement for each patient treated within the trust
