Senior Clinical Fellow in Paediatric Neurology
6 month FTC
Paediatric Epilepsy (1 x WTE post)
This post sit within the Complex Epilepsy Service and is due to start in March 2026 until September 2026.
The trainee will be exposed to a wide variety of epilepsy syndromes and related conditions, in both the outpatient and inpatient settings. The post will offer opportunities to develop skills in multidisciplinary management of childhood epilepsy and in the use and interpretation of neuro-imaging methods, epilepsy genetics and neurophysiological tests.

The Evelina complex epilepsy service is a tertiary service involved in the provision of services for children with epilepsy throughout the region alongside members of the South East Thames Paediatric Epilepsy Group, SETPEG. We provide access to the full range of therapeutic options and contribute to local and national quality improvement initiatives for epilepsy services. We are actively involved in the provision of Education and Training to Parents and children affected by epilepsy within the region, Junior team members and trainees (all disciplines) and Multidisciplinary colleagues within Children’s Neurosciences, ELCH more widely and within the SETPEG regional network. We are multidisciplinary and non-discriminatory, providing child and family centred care.
The broader Children’s Neurosciences Service runs a large number of specialist and multidisciplinary clinics, widening the clinical exposure for a successful candidate.
All Fellow posts are clinical appointments, but the department has a strong academic record, and development of a research interest will be encouraged
As an organisation we are committed to developing our services in ways that best suit the needs of our patients. This means that some staff groups will increasingly be asked to work a more flexible shift pattern so that we can offer services in the evenings or at weekends.
These post is available from the beginning of March 2026 for a period of 6 months. Successful candidates will be exposed to a wide variety of neurological conditions both acute and chronic in both the outpatient and inpatient settings. All posts will offer opportunities to develop skills in multidisciplinary management of childhood neurology and in the use and interpretation of neuro-imaging methods, and neurophysiological tests.
