Description:

These exciting fellowships offer opportunity for experienced intensive care doctors with anaesthetic experience to broaden their skills in ICU. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to develop their educational CV, gain POCUS accreditation, undertake research or be guided to explore their management potential. There are also opportunities within the burgeoning field of Digital Health and Innovation.
The fellowship would be ideally be a 12 month appointment to allow successful completion of projects in an area such as:

Medical education

  • To gain the appropriate theory we will support enrolment on a PGCert in Medical Education and release the candidate time to attend.
  • Contribute, design and deliver the ICU teaching programme, alongside our consultant intensivists.
  • To become a facilitator in simulation via in-house simulation centre accreditation and lead in-situ ICU sim, Burns ICU sim and in-house sim centre courses.

POCUS

  • The successful candidate will have the opportunity to pick one per 6 months, of the following Intensive Care Society FUSIC modules:
    o FUSIC Heart (formally known as FICE)
    o FUSIC Lung
    o FUSIC Abdomen
    o +/- FUSIC Vascular access (including PICC lines)
