UF Health Experience & Rewards: Level 1 trauma center and teaching hospital FACT accredited NCI-designated cancer institute Bone Marrow and Solid Organ Transplant Center Accrued PTO including holidays Annual salary reviews Student loan repayment PSLF-eligible employer Tuition reimbursement Competitive healthcare/retirement plans Relocation Assistance Wellness programs Responsibilities In this role, the Senior Clinical Labs Manager will oversee the following responsibilities: Oversee the technical and administrative management of multiple laboratory cost centers Integrate operations across different campuses, cost centers and disciplines Manage the performance of Managers, Technical Coordinators, Technical Specialists, and other lead personnel Establish the financial plan for the cost centers and oversees the achievement of revenue and expense goals Manages quality assurance, customer service, recruitment and retention, staff development, and regulatory compliance Initiates cooperative and productive interactions between Hospital management (Nursing, Operations, etc), Department of Pathology Medical Directors, outside agencies and corporations, and laboratory leaders. Schedule FTE: 1.0 Shift Hours: Days Days of Week: Monday-Friday Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements: Formal education in management and supervision, equivalent to a Masters Degree in Business Administration is strongly recommended Five years of progressive managerial experience in the healthcare field is strongly preferred Licensure/Certification/Registration: State of Florida, Department of Health, Licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Supervisor (FL AHCA 590-5002 is required.Director licensure / certification is preferred. Motor Vehicle Operator Designation: Employees in this position will operate vehicles for an assigned business purpose as a 'non-frequent driver' NOTE: A frequent driver is defined as one who uses his/her personal or Shands automobile a) at least once daily, b) at least five individual trips per week or c) drives, on average, over 150 miles per week in the performance of his/her job.
