To provide optimum pharmaceutical services in the Pharmacy Department. This includes operational oversight of this service to ensure staff are adequately trained, policies and legislation are adhered to and that there is a focus on high quality and safe medication management. General leadership, clinical and/or dispensary pharmacy duties may be required by the Director of Pharmacy as part of the role. The pharmacy has responsibility for providing a comprehensive clinical service to ensure safe, effective, outcome based and customer focused care to the patients of the hospital.
