Description

This role is two days (possibly extendable to 2.5 days) based in the community with NSTEP (Northamptonshire Service for the Treatment of Early Psychosis), a passionate and innovative multidisciplinary team working with 14-65 year olds presenting with a first episode of psychosis.
The postholder will work alongside Clinical Psychologists and CBTp Therapists to deliver individual therapy. A proven interest in working with people experiencing psychosis would be an advantage and experience of working with complex presentations would be essential. N-STEP often hosts DClinPsy trainees and has a good relationship with local researchers in psychosis.
Reporting to the Principal Clinical Psychologist at NSTEP, you will receive regular supervision and opportunities for further development. If the successful candidate is not already qualified in CBTp (CBT for psychosis), an agreement to complete this training will be a requirement of employment.
Should the successful candidate be seeking full-time employment, there is the option of an additional post with our Community Brain Injury Service.
Individual psychological therapy (CBTp plus other models of psychological intervention).
Supervision of psychological therapy colleagues (including Trainee Clinical Psychologists) and the NSTEP MDT.
Involvement in the design and implementation of service audit and evaluation.
Supporting the delivery of psychologically-informed research projects.
NHFT is an integrated primary care and mental health Trust, providing physical, mental health and specialty services in both hospital settings and out in the community. Because we put the person at the centre of all we do, we focus on delivering care that is as easy to access as possible. This means many of our services can be provided at home, work or in schools. We also provide health services to various prisons and detention centres in Bedfordshire and Cambridgeshire.
NHFT promotes a culture of learning to improve the care and safety of our patients and staff, which focuses on people who enable our Trust to be ‘outstanding’ by supporting opportunity, innovation, development and growth.
