Classification: Health Professional Officer Level 3/ Psychologist Level 3 (PN 25508, 45175) Note: This role will be filled at either Health Professional Level 3 or Psychologist Level P3 depending on qualifications and experience, in line with the Enterprise Agreement. About the Role: This is an exciting opportunity for two individuals who are highly experienced Psychologists, Occupational Therapists or Social Workers to join the Forensic Mental Health Services team. As a specialist area, clinicians within FMHS are provided specialist training and clinical supervision within the area of Forensic Mental Health care and are involved in a collaborative and multidisciplinary team environment. Clinicians are supported to learn about other program areas within FMHS and to maintain any continuing professional development requirements, appropriate to area of service provision, such as attendance to group supervision, research groups, and/or in- services. The successful candidates will have the ability to provide a high level of skilled clinical skilled assessment and intervention to individuals and also be able to exercise independent judgement in solving problems and managing complex cases. You will have the ability to provide professional supervision, coaching and mentoring to Health Professional Level 1 and 2 staff, students and technical and other non-professional staff. You will also be able to effectively liaise with a diverse range of stakeholders including other mental health services, ACT Youth Justice and ACT Law Courts. There are currently two positions available, though the present recruitment intends to support establishment of a merit list in which suitable candidates may be considered for temporary and/or permanent vacancies for similar senior allied health roles in community and custodial facets of Forensic Mental Health Services if/when they become available over the next 12-months.
