REQUIREMENTS

  • 3+ years of experience as a Cloth Artist, Technical Artist, or Character Artist with a focus on clothing.
  • Proficiency in Marvelous Designer, ZBrush, and Substance Painter.
  • Strong understanding of cloth physics, simulation techniques, and real-time performance optimization.
  • Experience working with game engines like Unreal Engine (preferably UE5) for cloth simulation and implementation.
  • Ability to work closely with animation and technical teams to ensure cloth behaves naturally in motion.
  • A keen eye for detail and strong artistic sensibility in fabric and material creation.
  • Knowledge of shader development for realistic cloth rendering is a plus.
  • Passion for gaming and an understanding of survival, RPG, or city-building genres.
  • Fluent in English; German is a plus

Responsibilities

YOUR ROLE

As a Senior Cloth Artist, you will be responsible for creating high-quality cloth simulations, garments, and materials for characters, NPCs, and environmental assets. You will work closely with character artists, animators, and technical teams to ensure that cloth assets look and behave realistically within our game world.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and create realistic cloth assets for characters, NPCs, and environments.
  • Develop cloth simulations that react dynamically to in-game physics.
  • Work with the character and animation teams to ensure proper cloth rigging and deformation.
  • Optimize cloth assets for real-time performance without sacrificing quality.
  • Collaborate with tech artists and programmers to improve in-game cloth behavior and performance.
  • Ensure assets align with artistic direction, game design, and technical constraints.
  • Research and implement new tools and workflows to enhance cloth creation efficiency.
