REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

  • 5+ years of experience in an IT enterprise System Administrator or Cloud Administrator role
  • Hands-on Microsoft Azure Administrator experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Azure Network Solutions
  • Strong Windows Administration skills (Active Directory, DNS, Group Policy)
  • Networking expertise with Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco ISE, VPN management, Aruba Wireless
  • Ability to be onsite in Herndon, VA minimum 3x per week (may increase based on business needs)
  • Active Security Clearance or ability to obtain one
  • U.S. Citizenship is required

ABOUT THE ROLE

We are seeking a Senior Cloud Administrator (Systems Administrator T4) to join our dynamic IT team on a long-term contract basis. This role involves evaluating, designing, and managing enterprise-level cloud and server infrastructure. The ideal candidate is hands-on, experienced in Microsoft Azure administration and network solutions, and capable of ensuring system availability, performance, and compliance with strict security requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Evaluate, design, and manage enterprise Server & Application Services (SAS) infrastructure
  • Develop and document technical standards, system workflows, and best practices
  • Perform installation, configuration, upgrades, patching, and monitoring of systems
  • Ensure compliance with security and encryption protocols
  • Monitor performance, capacity, availability, and resolve system/application issues
  • Manage vendor relationships for hardware/software procurement and support
  • Perform incident diagnosis, corrective action, and root cause analysis
  • Lead systems analysis and design activities for new infrastructure solutions
  • Provide SME-level guidance to Cloud Operations, Cyber Security, and Systems Administration teams
  • Maintain responsibility for end-user satisfaction
