Als Senior Cloud Data Engineer / Data Architect (m/w/d)*

  • Will you implement customized solutions for our customers in the Volkswagen Group regarding the processing and provision of data in the AWS environment?
  • Do you design sustainable, robust and high-performance ETL and ELT pipelines for delivering analytics and machine learning applications?
  • Do you ensure the traceability of the data lineage of complex data transformations?
  • Are you in close contact with the experts on your team and on the client side?
  • Do you create technical, conceptual, and logical data models?
  • Do you design and standardize data products that deliver real added value for the customer?
  • Are you always up-to-date and willing to continuously develop your skills in the areas of cloud computing and data architecture?

What you bring

  • You have a completed degree in (business) informatics, electrical engineering or a similar field (or demonstrably comparable qualification)
  • Solid knowledge and experience in the provision and transformation of data
  • Experience with AWS services and tools such as Amazon S3, Amazon Redshift, AWS Glue, AWS Lambda, AWS Stepfunctions, etc.
  • Extensive understanding of database concepts and technologies, including relational databases and NoSQL databases.
  • Practical experience with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks such as dbt (data build tool), Apache Spark, Apache Airflow, AWS Glue and/or AWS Data Pipeline
  • Knowledge of data modeling and optimization for analytical and machine learning applications
  • Experience with programming in languages ​​such as SQL, Python, Scala and/or similar languages
  • Knowledge of the implementation and management of data pipelines and workflows
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools such as Github workflows, CDK, Terraform
  • Ability to analyze data problems and develop effective solutions
  • Experience with collaboration tools such as Confluence and Jira
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical information in an understandable way.
  • A good understanding of business processes and requirements in the automotive sector (desirable)

For this position, German language skills of (at least) C1 level and English language skills of (at least) B2 level are mandatory.
