    We are an industry leader in the mining and civil earthmoving industries with over 50 years’ experience and operate a large fleet of heavy earthmoving equipment across Australia. We take pride in our people, our safety culture and maintaining our equipment to a high standard.
    We are looking for a Senior Cloud Engineer for a 6mth project, to revamp our network infrastructure and provide upskilling for the current team.

Key responsibilities for this role:

  • Architecting scalable, secure and cost-effective cloud solutions on Azure, considering performance, cost-efficiency, and redundancy requirements.
  • Lead the implementation of cloud infrastructure, including provisioning servers, networks, storage, and security configurations.
  • Monitoring cloud environments, identifying performance bottlenecks, troubleshooting issues, and implementing corrective actions
  • Developing and maintaining automation scripts to streamline cloud deployments, configuration management, and scaling processes using tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Implementing robust cloud security measures, including access controls, data encryption, and vulnerability management to protect sensitive information
  • Analysing cloud usage patterns to identify cost-saving opportunities and optimize resource allocation
  • Provide upskilling to our team, including providing technical guidance, and staying updated on emerging cloud technologies
  • Able to travel to sites and work afterhours when required

What you will need to succeed:

  • Extensive knowledge of Azure, including compute, storage, networking, database services, and security features
  • Solid understanding of networking concepts including VPN, subnetting, routing, firewalls, and load balancing.
  • Knowledge of cloud security best practices, compliance regulations, and identity management
  • Ability to diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective solutions
