As a Cloud Engineer, you will implement and support cloud environments that are secure, scalable, and fit for purpose, with elements of design and build work also required. You'll take ownership of the implementation and ongoing support of cloud solutions, ensuring they perform reliably in real-world conditions.  This is a hands-on role where your technical judgement, attention to detail, and ability to solve complex problems will directly influence customer outcomes and long-term platform performance.  Ko tō mahi – What you will do  You’ll support and maintain cloud solutions including Kubernetes, Azure, AWS, Cloudflare and Zscaler environments, contributing to both ongoing managed services and occasional project delivery. Your focus will be on ensuring customer environments remain secure, reliable, and performant, while maintaining strong alignment to customer needs and commercial outcomes.  Key responsibilities include:  * Supporting and maintaining Kubernetes platforms and containerised workloads, ensuring availability, performance, security, and operational excellence * Supporting and maintaining cloud and cloud securitysolutions across Azure, AWS and Cloud Security * Managing cloud environments through proactive monitoring, health checks, maintenance, and continuous improvement activities * Resolving customer issues and restoring services in line with SLAs * Working on customer support tickets and preparing monthly service reports * Maintaining accurate documentation and contributing to customer knowledge bases * Ensuring all solutions meet security, compliance, governance, and architectural standards * Contributing to solution design to ensure scalability, security  and performance * Supporting sales and customer engagements by identifying opportunities and providing technical input * Researching emerging technologies and contributing to innovation, automation and service improvement * Collaborating with Solutions Consultants and technical teams to deliver assigned project milestones and deliverables * Rostered 7x24 on –call support rotation (typically very low call-out rate) Nā tōu rourou - What you will bring  * Proven experience supporting and administering Kubernetes environments * Experience with container technologies, Kubernetes networking, ingress controllers, storage, and observability tooling * Proven experience with cloud solutions(Azure AZ-104 required) * Strong understanding of containers, APIs, microservices, networking and cloud security * Experience in IT automation and modern operational practices * Background in managed services and SLA-driven environments * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with the confidence to make sound technical decisions * Ability to balance technical quality with customer and commercial outcome * A tertiary qualification in technology, or equivalent practical experience Nōu te rourou – Why join us?  This is a role where your technical decisions have real impact.
