Your Mission

• You are responsible for guiding, governing, designing and enforcing cloud / infrastructure related designs for new (cloud-native) applications as well as existing business applications which are planned to migrate from the on-premises datacentres to MS Azure.
• You advice to developers on cloud deployment and micro-service architectures as well as CI/CD.
• You refine solutions for monitoring, logging, and automation with the infrastructure & operations team and support Cybersecurity architect in refining cloud security.
• You support the IT Infrastructure and Operations team in refining the cloud operations model.
• You are responsible for creating and regularly reviewing architecture and solution design artefacts.
• You use your technical and architectural knowledge of Azure Cloud and AI technologies and/or Security ton share it with and consult and guide your stakeholders. The topics include some of the following (main focus here on Infra Techs, others are complimentary but not core to the role):
• Security reviews, assessments, and threat modeling
• Private/Hybrid/Public cloud configurations, migrations, patterns, and practices
• Microsoft Windows, Client and Server, Hyper-V, Azure Stack
• Azure IaaS and Azure PaaS services
• Azure Active Directory and cloud identity
• Active Directory and migration services
• Containerization
• Applications and app modernization, DevOps
• Scripting, automation, and infrastructure as-code

Your Talents

• Degree in computer science or engineering with 4+ years of experience or apprenticeship with 6-8 years of practical experience
• 1-2 years of experience in Cloud Architecture
• Certificates: TOGAF
• Know-how regarding MS, Azure, Enterprise Azure Subscription concepts (EA enrollment, Account, Subscription management), Cloud/Azure Security best practices (Azure Security Baseline, CIS Azure Benchmark)
• Experience with Azure Security Center, Azure Policies, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Azure Databases (PaaS/DBaaS, incl. Azure DB Managed Instances, Azure DB for Postgres, MariaDB), Azure PowerShell, Azure App Service (Web Apps,ASE), Azure DevOps
• Experience with security concepts (Encryption capabilities, Azure Disk Encryption, SSE, Azure KeyVaults, Bring your own Key/HSM)
• Experience with on-premises infrastructure and good knowledge of software engineering process and DevOps
• Experience in setting up an organizational unit within a fast-growing company is an advantage
• Ability to speak and write in English fluently, good communication skills in German are beneficial
• Ability to explain complex technical solutions to technical and non-technical audience
