SENIOR CLOUD ENGINEER:

On behalf of our Financial Services client, Procom is searching for a Senior Cloud Engineer for a 12-month role. This position is a hybrid position with 2 days onsite at our client’s Toronto office.

SENIOR CLOUD ENGINEER - JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Senior Cloud Engineer will lead the development and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and applications supporting Data & Analytics, Investment, and Client Solutions. This role involves collaborating with the Cloud Engineering team to advance foundational data capabilities using cloud technologies and deliver comprehensive solutions aligned with business objectives.

SENIOR CLOUD ENGINEER - MANDATORY SKILLS:

  • 7+ years of experience in data-driven organizations
  • Experience building cloud-based applications (AWS, Azure, GCP)
  • Proficient in data warehousing concepts using Snowflake and Databricks
  • Development experience with languages such as Python, Java, Scala, SQL
  • In-depth knowledge of AWS services like S3, EC2, RDS, Lambda, Glue, SageMaker, Athena, Redshift
  • Ability to communicate, negotiate, and influence stakeholders
  • Experience in Asset Management or Capital Markets is strongly preferred

SENIOR CLOUD ENGINEER – NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS:

  • Experience with Kubernetes-based platforms such as EKS, OpenShift
  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or related field
  • Understanding of modern Digital & CRM technologies
  • Strong decision-making and leadership skills
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools
Responsibilities
  • Hands-on development of solutions for data and data governance platforms
  • Drive platform innovations and understand advancements in data and cloud engineering, DevOps, and analytic technologies
  • Partner and collaborate with Enterprise teams to deliver SLC needs
  • Participate in reviews for cross-functional teams to ensure quality coding, standards, and synergy across applications being built
