ADP SBS Division is hiring a Senior Cloud Engineer (Azure) We seek a talented Sr. Cloud Engineer to join our team. The ideal candidate combines a software development background with extensive experience in building and managing cloud infrastructure using Azure, Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and DevOps tools. You will develop, maintain, and optimize infrastructure code, integrated with automated DevOps pipelines to ensure scalable, secure, and efficient cloud environments. We are the RUN Platform Engineering team, within ADP’s Small Business Services division. We are recognized as a leader in small business payroll, having more than 900,000 clients and generating around $2 billion in revenue. Our team is distributed between the US, UK, India, and is expanding in Brazil. Our mission is to build the RUN infrastructure and platform on the Azure Cloud, so we keep innovating, scaling, and providing outstanding payroll services to our clients! WHAT YOU’LL DO: • Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) scripts using Terraform. • Automate the deployment and management of Azure cloud resources. • Collaborate with cloud architects and development teams to design and implement infrastructure solutions. • Ensure infrastructure code adheres to best practices, security and organizational standards. • Conduct code reviews and provide feedback to team members. • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to infrastructure code, deployments, and runtime environments. • Implement and manage CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure code. • Integrate IaC pipelines with DevOps tools (Jenkins, Git, Jira, WebEx) • Monitor and optimize cloud infrastructure for stability, performance, cost, and security. • Create and update documentation, including system diagrams. • Stay updated with the latest Azure services, features, and best practices. WHAT WE EXPECT FROM THE IDEAL CANDIDATE: • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field; • Proven experience as an Infrastructure as Code Developer or similar role; • Strong understanding of cloud computing concepts and Azure architecture; • Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, ARM templates, Azure Resource Manager, and Microsoft Bicep or equivalent (eg. AWS CloudFormation); • Strong knowledge in 1+ high-level programming language (.Net [C#/F#/VB], Java, Python, Go, Groovy); • Strong knowledge in 1+ scripting language (Bash, PowerShell, JavaScript); • Experience with version control systems like Git; • Knowledge of DevOps practices and tools (Jenkins, Ansible or equivalent); • Knowledge of networking, security, and identity management in Azure; • Understanding of networking and TCP/IP basics; • Experience with Agile development methodology; • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently; • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; • Fluency in spoken and written English.
