Responsibilities

As Senior Cloud Engineer, you will be asked to:

  • Lead project activities, including solution demonstrations, workshops, and the preparation of design and as-built documentation
  • Conduct technical feasibility studies, and system configurations, and deliver solution presentations to technical and client executives.
  • Stay up to date of the latest innovations in Cloud, AI, Automation & Modern workplace technologies to serve as a subject matter expert to clients and internal teams.
  • Ready to engage and support other team members by learning new technologies and skills
  • Provide Technical leadership and escalation to Technical Architect and Cloud Engineers
  • Lead the customer workshop and confidently present and discuss the technical and commercial aspects of the solution
  • Design, document and implement various cloud projects for existing and/or new customers
  • Provide proactive support to ensure the customer’s environment is running smoothly and assist in resolving issues by adhering to customer SLAs
  • Identify and troubleshoot issues related to cloud infrastructure, applications, and services, ensuring timely resolution to minimize impact on business operations.
  • Document incidents, resolutions, and best practices to build a knowledge base and facilitate continuous improvement.
  • Raise required changes and prepare for change approval as per customer request
  • Proactively maintain the customer environment from a monitoring, backup and patching perspective
  • Assist with project implementation, updating as-built and design documentation
  • Monitor the health and performance of cloud infrastructure and services, including virtual machines, storage, networking, security and PaaS services
  • Collaborate with internal team and client to address technical issues and requirements
  • Stay up to date on the latest Microsoft Azure features, updates, and best practices to serve as a subject matter expert to clients and internal teams.
  • Engage and support other team members by learning new technologies and skills.

This role requires some on-call shifts on a distributed roster, you must be flexible in your availability.
