Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to lead the design, deployment, and maintenance of secure cloud infrastructure solutions. The Senior Cloud Engineer will hold an active Top-Secret clearance and have deep expertise in Azure Infrastructure as Code (Iac). This role requires an active TS (w/SCI eligibility) clearance & is 100% on-site in Lorton, VA.

QUALIFICATIONS OF THE SENIOR CLOUD ENGINEER:

• 8+ years of experience in systems engineering, cloud engineering, or cloud infrastructure roles
• Proven expertise in Azure cloud services, IaC, and DevSecOps
• Experience with secure network environments such as C4 and SAP
• Strong experience in cloud technologies, data/AI, cybersecurity, and enterprise application architecture
• Experience with containerization - Docker, Kubernetes and CI/CD tools strongly preferred
• Microsoft Azure and Windows certifications (strongly preferred) - Azure Fundamentals, Azure Administrator Associate, Azure Developer, Azure Security Engineer, Azure Network Engineer, Azure Solutions Architect, DevOps Engineer, etc.
• IAT Level II Certification - CompTIA Sec+ or higher required
• Bachelor’s degree in related field

• Architect, implement, and maintain cloud infrastructure using Azure IaC tools such as Bicep, ARM templates, PowerShell, and CLI
• Lead DevSecOps initiatives to automate deployment pipelines, enforce security policies, and ensure compliance across cloud workloads
• Manage and monitor system health, performance, and availability across mission enclaves and operational boundaries
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex infrastructure issues, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance
• Maintain and update system configurations, patches, and vulnerability remediations in accordance with security standards.
• Support secure operations within C4 and SAP network environments, ensuring alignment with federal and defense-grade requirements.
