Job Summary The Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for designing, operating, and continuously improving IGI’s cloud, hybrid, and on-premises infrastructure. This role provides senior-level technical ownership across Azure, virtualization, networking, backup, identity integration, and security tooling, ensuring high availability, resilience, and compliance. The role works closely with Security, Governance, DBA, and Application teams to deliver stable operations, automate infrastructure processes, support audits and DR testing, and modernize legacy platforms. Hybrid Cloud & Infrastructure Ownership Design, implement, and maintain hybrid infrastructure across Microsoft Azure and onpremises environments. Lead infrastructure modernization initiatives, including system migrations, upgrades, and decommissioning of legacy platforms. Act as a senior technical escalation point for complex infrastructure and cloud issues. 2. Virtualization & Data Center Operations Administer and optimize VMware environments, ensuring performance, capacity planning, and high availability. Manage on-premises data centre infrastructure, monitoring system health and resource utilization. Support infrastructure stability through proactive maintenance and lifecycle management. 3. Backup, Recovery & Disaster Recovery Design, manage, and optimize backup and recovery solutions using Veeam. Implement automation and alerting for backup failures and recovery operations. Plan, execute, and validate Disaster Recovery (DR) testing across cloud and on-prem systems, ensuring business continuity and audit readiness. 4. Network & Security Infrastructure Administer and manage network and security platforms including: - FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAccessPoint, FortiManager - Cisco switches Manage firewall policies, VPNs, network segmentation, and internet connectivity. Ensure secure and stable connectivity across offices and cloud environments. 5. Identity, Access & Security Integration Support integration and operational alignment with: - CyberArk (PAM) - SailPoint (Identity Governance) Collaborate with the Security team to support least-privilege access, secure authentication, and compliance controls. Assist in vulnerability remediation and infrastructure hardening based on Qualys findings. 6. Monitoring, Compliance & Audit Support Implement monitoring and alerting to proactively detect infrastructure issues. Support audit activities by providing accurate evidence, screenshots, and documentation. Maintain clear and structured documentation in Confluence for infrastructure, DR, and compliance purposes. 7- Automation & Continuous Improvement Drive automation using PowerShell, ARM/Bicep, and scripting to reduce manual effort and improve consistency. Identify opportunities to improve BAU operations, reliability, and response times. Optimize Azure consumption and infrastructure performance. 8. Collaboration & Mentorship Work closely with Cloud, Security, Governance, DBA, and Support teams to deliver integrated solutions. Provide technical guidance and knowledge sharing to junior engineers. Contribute to standards, runbooks, and operational best practices. Job Specifications 1. Experience & Skills Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field. 6+ years of experience in cloud and infrastructure engineering. Strong hands-on experience with: - Azure (VMs, networking, storage, identity integration) - VMware - Veeam Backup & Recovery - Fortinet ecosystem (FortiGate, FortiSwitch, FortiAP, FortiManager) - Cisco switching Working knowledge of: - CyberArk, SailPoint - Qualys vulnerability management Strong troubleshooting, automation, and problem-solving skills.
