Your Role The Kongsberg Digital Kognitwin Infrastructure team is responsible for building, operating, and evolving the cloud platform behind Kognitwin. Our platform powers industrial digital twin solutions across industries such as energy, electrical grids, oil and gas, chemicals, and maritime operations. Kognitwin helps customers monitor operations, improve decision-making, and gain a real-time overview of complex industrial facilities through scalable and modern cloud technology. We are now looking for a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to strengthen our platform and infrastructure team. In this role, you will work closely with developers, architects, and product teams to build secure, scalable, and highly automated cloud infrastructure. You will help shape the next generation of our platform capabilities while improving reliability, developer experience, and operational excellence. Your Responsibilities Design, build, and operate scalable cloud infrastructure solutions using Kubernetes and Microsoft Azure Improve platform reliability, observability, security, and operational efficiency Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code solutions using tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, Bicep, or ARM Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation Implement DevOps and platform engineering practices with a strong focus on automation, self-service infrastructure, CI/CD, and operational excellence Collaborate with software engineers and architects to improve cloud-native application delivery Optimize systems for scalability, resilience, cost-efficiency, and performance Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure and production issues Contribute to security best practices, compliance, and governance initiatives Support containerized workloads, microservices architectures, and distributed systems Participate in improving monitoring, alerting, logging, and incident response processes Contribute to infrastructure capabilities supporting analytics, observability, and future AI-driven platform services Mentor and support other engineers through collaboration and knowledge sharing We Believe You Have Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 5+ years of experience working with cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, or DevOps Strong experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration in production environments Solid hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure services and cloud-native architectures Experience building CI/CD pipelines and deployment automation Strong knowledge of Infrastructure as Code practices and tools such as Terraform, Pulumi, Bicep, or ARM templates Experience with GitHub Actions and/or Azure DevOps Pipelines Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, Bash, or similar languages Experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, Azure Monitor, OpenTelemetry, or similar Understanding of networking, security, identity management, and cloud governance principles Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and security-first thinking Experience working with microservices and distributed systems Good understanding of software development workflows and engineering practices Driven by automation and continuous improvement Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Ability to collaborate effectively across teams and disciplines Fluency in spoken and written English Nice to Have Experience with platform engineering and internal developer platforms Experience operating production workloads at scale Familiarity with FinOps and cloud cost optimization Experience with service mesh technologies and API gateways Knowledge of GitOps practices and tools such as ArgoCD or Flux Interest or experience in AI/ML infrastructure, analytics platforms, or data-driven cloud services Familiarity with modern AI ecosystem tooling and cloud-based analytics solutions is a plus Certifications within Azure, Kubernetes, or cloud technologies Experience working in industrial, energy, or real-time operational environments Enable AI‑ready platform capabilities for inference‑heavy and data‑intensive services Support GPU‑enabled workloads where required, including scheduling Diversity & Inclusion: At Kongsberg Digital, we celebrate diversity and strive for inclusivity.
