At Bupa we are undertaking exciting work in our cloud platforms and as such have new opportunities for Senior Cloud Operations Engineer’s to join our Melbourne based team. These opportunities are 12-month fixed term with a view to convert permanent as the team grow. Bupa runs workloads across multiple cloud platforms including Azure, GCP and AWS. This role develops and optimises Bupa’s public cloud platform to continually deliver fast, reliable, secure and cost-effective experiences to application teams. You’ll be key in helping solve cloud operations challenges through well-considered, automated cloud-based operational solutions. Examples are policy controls, monitoring, health notification.

• Have 3 to 5 years of experience in deploying, managing or supporting public cloud workloads, or cloud platforms at scale.
• Have deep experience with and understanding of the Microsoft technology stack, including on premises, Azure services and directory & identity services at scale.
• Experience with AWS cloud platforms at scale
• Demonstrated experience with contemporary development principles and tooling: ‘everything as code’, version-controlled change, continuous delivery and automated testing.
• Demonstrated skills in PowerShell, Azure Resource Manager, Azure Automation, Active Directory and/or Azure Active directory.
• Demonstrated skill in DevOps and Continuous Delivery and other Software Engineering principals such as source control, deployment pipelines modularity and abstraction.
• Experience authoring and modifying, clean self-documenting code using an IaC platform such as Terraform
• Ideally, possess certifications in, ITIL or Agile and experience in a commercial environment.
• Relevant recognised specialist industry certification such as Azure Associate or Expert
