What you will be doing:
As a Senior Cloud Operations Engineer, you will be at the forefront of our software technology, assisting customers that are taking advantage of growing and evolving set of products in the cloud. Every day will bring new and exciting challenges on the job.
Location: This position will be based in our Sydney office. The candidate is required to attend the office a minimum of 3 days per week but may voluntarily elect to work either remotely or from the Sydney office for the remaining days of the week.

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERTISE

  • Extensive AWS expertise, including EC2, S3, RDS (MS SQL on AWS), Lambda, IAM, and AWS Control Tower for multi-account governance.
  • Strong focus on AWS cost management, including cost optimization, AWS Cost Explorer, AWS Budgets, and rightsizing resources.
  • Experience with automation and orchestration, using AWS CloudFormation, Terraform, AWS Systems Manager, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Deep understanding of cloud-native architectures, including AWS container services (ECS, EKS, Fargate) and microservices.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot complex AWS environments, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and SLA compliance.
  • Hands-on experience supporting Linux and Windows Server (2016/2019) environments, including IIS, in AWS-hosted infrastructures.
  • Strong problem-solving, collaboration, and communication skills, with a track record of delivering in 24/7 production environments.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for architecture, deployment, configuration, monitoring, management, technical issue resolution, bug identification, feature requests, general knowledge and proof of concepts.
  • Learn and use ground-breaking technologies across Nuix’s eDiscovery, Review, Intelligence, Risk and Security platforms
  • Apply automated deployments, advanced system administration, optimization and troubleshooting techniques to provide unique solutions to our SaaS environment.
  • Work hands-on with customers to engineer, deploy and run their SaaS instances running in our AWS environment.
