Hyderabad, Noida, Bengaluru – India 3741 Role Overview The Senior Cloud Operations Engineer will drive our configuration management, build, deploy, and monitor platforms. You must be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, agile environment, which means wearing many hats, being able to change direction quickly, and showing an eagerness to learn and introduce new technologies as the need arises. Key Accountabilities/Decision Making & Influence Adopting and implementing best practices and champion an engineering culture emphasizing Agile, DevOps, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment Participate in furthering Agile/DevOps culture. Design next generation application strategy using cloud-native and serverless architectures. Promote the development of technical standards for the team. Work with the lines of business, support staff, and technology areas, to design a technical structure meeting the strategic needs of the business. Implement configuration management for development, test, and production environments. Secure systems using best practices, and continuously audit environment to confirm it is bulletproof. Monitor for optimal performance and uptime of cloud infrastructure. Respond to alerts of application instability, identifying root cause and corrective actions. Control infrastructure costs by continually looking for opportunities to right-size servers and services. DECISION MAKING AND INFLUENCE Ensures that product assets related to Cloud Operation Hosting are maintained responsibly. Builds and maintains vendor relationships and manages the purchase of hardware and software products. Travel, as necessary. Other responsibilities will be assigned as required. KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES At least 10 years strongly preferred of experience in DevOps and Enterprise Applications deployments on data centers and public clouds. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related discipline. Proven track record of ownership and accountability in managing and troubleshooting complex, multi-layered environments in AWS and Microsoft Azure, with the ability to handle multiple overlapping priorities and tight deadlines effectively. Experience in a modern software development environment that embraces Agile methodologies and incorporates DevOps practices. Extensive hands-on experience with DevOps tools such as Jenkins, Artifactory, Maven, Git, BitBucket, and TFS, with a focus on driving automation and efficiency. Advanced expertise in cloud platforms like AWS and Azure, with strong proficiency in Python, Terraform, and PowerShell for infrastructure automation and scripting. Deep understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies such as Kubernetes, as well as configuration management using tools like Ansible. Demonstrated experience in Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines, ensuring seamless delivery of high-quality software. Strong hands-on experience with Linux and Windows server operating systems, as well as expertise in web server technologies including IIS, Tomcat, WebLogic, WebSphere, and Apache Web Server. Solid knowledge of relational databases such as SQL Server, Oracle, Postgres, or MySQL, with the ability to optimize and troubleshoot database performance. Proven ability to independently identify, analyze, and resolve complex issues in high-pressure environments, while maintaining a focus on delivering results. Experience in setting up, configuring, and managing monitoring systems, ensuring proactive identification and resolution of potential issues. Strong team player with the ability to collaborate across functional areas, provide backup support, and foster effective working relationships. Self-starter with the ability to work independently, take ownership of tasks, and drive them to completion with minimal supervision.
